New Delhi, November 06, 2020: The Delhi District Additional Sessions Judge Vinod Yadav observed that Delhi police’s method of chargesheeting Saifi over insignificant material displayed “total non-application of mind by the police, which” went “to the extent of vindictiveness”, while granting Khalid Saifi bail in a case registered against him in connection with the February riots in the city by the police. Fastest Trial ever: Telangana's District Court sentences Youth to death for Nine Murders

New Delhi/Hyderabad, October 28, 2020: In one of the fastest trials and that too amid the COVID-19 pandemic, a 24-year old man was on Wednesday sentenced to death by a District Court in Telangana in the sensational case of murder of nine people, including six members of a family, in Warangal in May this year. The judgement was delivered in five months and six days since the date of the offence and as many as 67 prosecution witnesses were examined during the trial held physically as per the lockdown guidelines in view of COVID-19, public prosecutor M Satyanarayana Goud said.  .....- Read More.

Mathura District Court admits Appeal against dismissal of Suit for Removal of Idgah Mosque from Krishna's Birthplace

New Delhi/Mathura, October 16, 2020: The Mathura District Court on October 16 admitted an appeal filed against the dismissal of a civil suit filed for the removal of the Idgah mosque near the birthplace of Krishna. According to reports, that district Judge Sadhna Rani Thakur has issued notices to Uttar Pradesh Sunni Waqf Board, Trust Masjid Idgah, Srikrishna Janamsthan Trust and Sri Krishna Janam Bhoomi Seva Sangh in this regard.
